Statement on the Privacy of Customer Information

Information We Collect 

The First Trust and Savings Bank collects, retains, and uses information about individual customers only when we believe it would be useful (and allowed by law) in administering our business and to provide products, services, and other opportunities to customers. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and,
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

Confidentiality and Security

The First Trust and Savings Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards. Additionally, each bank employee is required to follow our bank's code of conduct, which states that all customer information is considered private and privileged and is to be used by them solely for the purpose of providing you with our services.

About Children's Online Privacy
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) was passed to give parents increased control over what information is collected from their children online and how such information is used. The law applies to websites and services directed to, and which knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 13. First Trust and Savings Bank's websites and online services are not directed to children under the age of 13, nor is information knowingly collected from them.
